June 30th Deadline

“if a person is infected with Hep C and may have had a blood transfusion or received or took blood in Canada between January 1, 1986 and July 1 1990, the deadline for submitting a first claim for compensation dollars is (in most cases), the later of:

June 30, 2010 OR within 3 years of first learning of Hepatitis C infection

(Also eligible to contact this centre are family members of HCV infected persons who are deceased).  Anyone who has never been tested for Hepatitis C and had a transfusion, received or took blood between these dates should consider a blood test ASAP.”
